Effective February 7, 2007 the prevailing minimum wage for G-5 & A-3 domestics in the Washington DC area is $7.39 per hour. The prevailing minimum wage in the NYC Metropolitan area is $9.47, $6.51/hour in the Miami area; $7.20/hour in the Chicago area; and $8.00/hour in the Los Angeles area. All employment contracts are subject to adjustment effective 02/07/2007.

DC employers must begin paying $7.55 per hour effective July 24, 2008 as a result of changes to the US minimum wage.
